Jason Cox

Role in the Gorillaz Project
Jason Cox, along with Tom Girling, is one of Damon's technical men in the studio. The majority of the sessions for the debut album and B-sides took place without an outside producer, with Girling and Cox manning the mixing desk. The pair later collaborated with Dan The Automator when he was brought into the sessions. It seems that Damon doesn't record in the studio without them these days. Along with their engineer credits, they also have full production credits on certain songs, such as 'Starshine'.

Biography
Jason Cox has worked with Damon in Blur as a roadie, live sound person, guitar technician and engineer since 1991. He's since, with Jason Cox, become one of Damon's personal engineers, travelling to wherever Damon is working in the studio to help him realise his musical visions. The pair helped Damon set up his Studio 13 in London and set up the mixing desk there.
