Junior Dan / Dan Left Hand

Role in the Gorillaz Project
Junior Dan played bass on most of the tracks on the debut album 'Gorillaz', and some of the B-sides. He was also the bass player in the live band for most of the Gorillaz shows in Phase One. Unfortunately he was jailed in Milwaukee on a ancient drugs and firearms charge whilst on the US tour, and he was replaced by Roberto Occhipinti for the remaining shows.

Biography
Junior Dan (or Dan Left Hand, he has gone by both names and been referred to by Damon by both names) is a veteran session bassist from Jamaica. He has appeared on many records by reggae legends such as Augustus Pablo and Burning Spear. He released his own Dub LP, 'KTW Dub' in 1982. He has released some limited edition vinyls on limited 10" format on the Honest Jon's record label since Gorillaz Phase One finished. He got involved with the Gorillaz project almost by accident - he was working in a nearby studio when Damon was putting together the debut album, and he asked to come in and have a look at what Damon was up to. One thing lead to another and he ended up putting bass on most of the tracks.
