Magazine Shoots: The band also appeared in exclusive shots (i.e. drawings) for certain high profile magazines such as the NME, Dazed and Confused and Spin (the rest had to be content with using existing Gorillaz press shots) and in some of these stylists would advise Jamie on what they would like the Gorillaz to wear before he drew them, just like they would dress up regular artists that would grace their pages.

Appearances on record covers: The band could also appear on their record sleeves via the inclusion of exclusive artwork.
