Phi Life Cypher

Biography
Phi Life Cypher are a three-membered rap group comprising two rappers: Life and Si Philli, and a DJ called Nappa (Nappa was not involved with the Gorillaz work) from Luton, UK. The crew started making music together around '96. Making it to the final of Tim Westwood's Talent 2000 competition and ripping the mic on DJ Skitz's seminal posse cut 'Fingerprints of the Gods' projected them to the upper realms of the UK Hip Hop scene. Phi-Life Cypher dropped their acclaimed debut EP, 'Earth Rulers' on DJ Vadim's Jazz Fudge label earlier in 2000 and released their debut album 'Millenium Metaphors' in September 2000. Life has also done a couple of solo albums since then. Their second album, 'Higher Forces' was released in November 2003.
