Sweetie Irie is certainly one of the biggest names in UK ragga, at the age of eighteen he signed his first solo album deal with Island records releasing tracks such as ”Money Honey”, ”On & On” ( with Aswad), ”Margar Man” and ”New Talk” ( with Jo 90 ). Through his music Sweetie has travelled the world performing at events such as Jamaican Sunsplash, Notting Hill Carnival, International shows in Grenada, Trinidad and all the way through to Japan Spalsh. He has collaborated with various artists such as Aswad, Maxi Priest, Ms Dynamite, Spee, Specialist Moss, Gwen Stefani. Sweetie has been releasing material on the UK Garage scene through Middlerow records for the last 4 years tracks such as ”Extra Extra”, ”Holy Morning”, ”Today’s The Day”and the Battle of the M.C’s track ”Bite Dem Up” He has presented channel 4’s Falva.
