All Alone

It seems Gorillaz just couldn't find out what to make of this jawn(see 'November Has Come'). The whole song can be divided into three parts: 1. A fascinating beeping concert by Atari's army. Gorillaz were just ment to make music inspirated by 1980's video games; 2. Roots Manuva's rap. One of the artists that Gorillaz have had always wanted to work with. Senseless rap with a humorous centre; 3. Martina Topley-Birds vocals. Beautiful vocal contribution by Topley-Bird. Seems to deserve its own song. So, this song is just a very well put-together mix of three completely different parts? Basically, it is. Gorillaz should've combined part number 1 and 2, OR number 1 with number 3, not number 1,2 and 3. But overall it isn't that bad, it's just a hard track to listen to.

Lyrics:

All alone (all alone)
All alone (all alone)
All alone (all alone)
All alone (all alone)
All alone (all alone)
All alone (all alone)
All alone (all alone)
All alone (all alone)
All alone (all alone)
All alone (all alone)
All alone (all alone)
All alone (all alone)

The beat's got soul
Deuteronomy
Snatch a piece of my pondering
Distant far like younder-in
Skin of my tute like
Skin of my boot like
Fly in my soup like
Where's the waitress?
Can't take this really can't face this
These airs and all these graces
It's my mistake I make it
Straight up to the boom now I bake it
Bounce wiggle bounce wiggle shaking all them pains out
Chemical cutthroats bound to blow the brain out
Hurts to the pain
This ain't no game
I feel no shame
I birth this pain
I twist the game
I twist the again
I'll push this plane
It's plain as day
Known to what the sayers say
Known to what these doers do
It's you and who and you know where
We's about to take it there
We's about to make it clear
We happy on we lonesome
The lone drum the beat hot
From start to finish
Ten spoons of spinach
The soul and the spillage
The cup that runneth over
Return of the ogre

All alone (all alone)
All alone (all alone)
All alone (all alone)
All alone (all alone)
All alone (all alone)
All alone (all alone)

Close your eyes and see
When there ain't no light
All you'll ever be
Come and say goodnight
Cos I don't believe
When the morning comes it doesn't
Seem to say an awful lot to me...

All alone (all alone)
All alone (all alone)
All alone (all alone)
All alone (all alone)
All alone (all alone)
All alone (all alone)
