Blech. Absolutely blech. Give me a copy of Fruity Loops, an a capella bootleg of Rosie Wilson’s vocals from “DARE”, and fifteen minutes of uninterrupted point-and-click time, and I promise you I’ll deliver a "DARE" remix more deserving of print than this lazy, blippy mess that Soulwax (a two-man Belgian mix team which runs a history of crapping on other artists, such as Daft Punk) apparantly decided was “good enough.” This has to be one of the most unenthusiastic dance loops I’ve ever run across. Here’s an exercise for you: Buy a ton of ecstasy, a strobe light, a subwoofer, a box of glow-sticks, and invite everyone you know into your garage. Mid-rave, throw on some of this Soulwax bullshit, and watch the crowd thin like Shatner’s hair in the eighties. In fact, this remix is such a horrible downgrade of the already danceable original, it’s hard to imagine the big-wigs at EMI, Damon and Jamie, and even the Soulwax brothers themselves, viewing it as anything short of a complete failure.
