Dirty Harry (Live At The Manchester Opera House)
| Alright, so you pre-ordered the Manchester mix of Dirty Harry almost a month ago, and now you finally get to redeem it. There’s bad news, more bad news, and good news. The first round of bad news is that this is just a better mix of the live version that was already available from the Radio 1 stream. Of course, you probably figured they’d do that. No big deal. But here’s the topper: In producing a “better mix” of the live version, they over mixed the drums. Now, the beat is overbearing, distracting, and way too sharp and tinny sounding. Enough so that it’s pretty irritating. But, of course, there’s good news: Damon’s vocals are nice and audible and warm sounding, far better than Radio 1’s muffle-fest. So the mixer giveth and the mixer taketh away. And to top the topper, it’s still Dirty Harry, one of the lowlights of Demon Days. Was this track still worth your purchase? Of course it was. - Wazawaii |

Lyrics:
I need a gun to keep myself from harm I need a gun to keep myself from harm In my backpack I'm a peace-loving decoy Seems like everybody's out to test ya Chill with your old lady at the tilt At night I hear the shots ring (Dance!) I need a gun to keep myself from harm
