Punk
| A raucous punk stomper, recalling Blur's 'We've Got A File On You' and 'B.L.U.R.E.M.I.' in particular. Can have a claim to the 'most indeciperhable lyrics in any Gorillaz song, ever'.The picture book that came with the digipack version of the album Gorillaz in the UK featured the lyric on Punk's page: 'Everybody says I shoot up but I just tell them to shoot up', yet this does not appear to feature in the track as on the album. It is likely Damon pretty much improvises the lyrics every time he plays the song (live versions differ wildly) and also he uses his most incomprehensible mode of singing (also employed on, e.g. The Sounder), so even if he has an idea of what he's saying in his head, it's extremely hard to decipher. The lyrics below are the most popluar transcription of Punk out there, but the matter will never be settled. |

Lyrics:
Said to myself "I'll go up"
Back to this town, doing what you can
Damd she might care to love up
Down in the sun, I did what I was told
