White Light
| Some bad quality recording of Damon Albarn (2D) singing "Alcohol, white light" and humming some 'to-be-added' bass is the bass for this song. Then they've popped in a few beeps, some drums and a bass and you get "White Light". At first listen maybe a bit disappointing, since Gorillaz themselves said the track would be superb, but after a few listens to the album, "White Light" fits in. The lyrics don't make much sense, but, they're genuinly cool. The bass is keeping your attention by regularly poisoning the bassline Damon's humming. The drums get hit hard, and therefore it's cool, obviously. Surely, the worst track of 'Demon Days'... So? it's cool! And for something that is cool, it doesn't matter what other people think about it. This song has its own personality, a very rough one. |
