On 28th July 1997, Kula Shaker's first six singles in the UK were reissued, in the UK only. Although some of the singles had been issued on multiple formats in the UK, only the 7" and one CD format were reissued (the reissued CD tracklisting was always CD1, i.e. the CD with the most basic catalogue number). The singles had the same catalogue numbers as the initial releases. However they were all issued in basic card sleeves with no posters (some of the initial CD releases had been in slimline jewel cases or more elaborate card sleeves, or had included posters, or had been stickered). Govinda and Hush received new cover artwork for the reissue (for details of the reissue tracklistings and covers, see the individual sections for those singles). All the reissue singles included a card with details of how to purchase a box in which to house the full set of reissue singles (the cost was £3, and you had to send off to an address). There were two boxes available, one for the 7" singles and one for the CD singles. Artwork for the boxes is as pictured above, the CD version was just slightly smaller than the 7" box. The full box sets including all the singles are now desirable collectors items and can command high prices.
