Sound Of Drums was released as the band's seventh single in the UK, on 20th April 1998, where it reached #3. Perhaps due to uncertainty about when the second album would be released, and because of a rumoured disagreement with their management, the band did not release this single anywhere else in the world. The second (white) cover was used for KULACD21K, the other formats used the black cover. It should be noted that the version of Sound Of Drums on these releases, the single version, is distinctly different from that which appears on the album Peasants, Pigs And Astronauts.
